2823540 - 900-001-6 Error Message in Development Plan page

When accessing the Development Plan page, user receives the error message "900-001-6 [Timestamp]", and is not able to select other templates or access the page of other users:

SAP SuccessFactors Career Development Plan

1. Go to Development Plan page;
2. Error message is displayed and user is not able to select other templates or access/search other users' plan, as dropdown menu with available templates and user search box are not available;
3. Error Message: "900-001-6 [Timestamp]".

There may be many sources of this application error in Development Plan page. Usually, this error message indicates that there is a misconfiguration in the Development Plan Template the user is trying to visualize in the page.

On instances using multiple templates for Development Plan, it may be difficult to identify which template is causing this error, when accessing the Development Plan Template, as the dropdown menu, with the selected and all available templates, is not displayed when the error occurs.

To identify the faulty template, verify the template configuration in Admin Center > Manage Templates > Development. When accessing the template causing the error message in Development Plan page, an application error is thrown:

Once the fault template is identified, we would need to verify the XML code of the template, to find the root cause of the application error. To access the XML code of your template, and apply changes to it, you would need to engage your Implementation Partner or open a request with Cloud Support, as access to Provisioning is required.
