2823689 - Error "Selection of Multiple proposals for Consumption not allowed" when trying to select and allocate inventory for multiple Project Stock Orders

Symptom

System triggers error message when trying to consume stock for multiple Project Stock Orders.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Outbound Logistics Work Center
  2. Navigate to Delivery Proposals View
  3. Select(Using Shift button) Delivery Requests EF, GH of reference type Project Stock Order(*EF & *GH represents Project Stock Order ids)
  4. Select Allocate
  5. Error appears Selection of Multiple proposals for Consumption not allowed

Cause

In case of Project Stock Orders, System can only allocate Stock for a single Project Stock Order as Goods Consumption cannot be done for multiple Projects at any given point of time.

Note: Although Project Stock Order's Planned  Shipment Date and ship-to party ID is same, It is still not possible to select multiple Project Stock Orders for allocation of inventory.

Resolution

Select individual Project Stock Order EF and perform Goods Consumption

  1. Go to Outbound Logistics Work Center
  2. Navigate to Delivery Proposals View
  3. Select PSO EF
  4. Select Allocate
  5. A new window "Goods Consumption for Project" appears
  6. Propose Quantities and Source Logistics Area
  7. Select Save
