2825221 - Error while updating contingent worker's job history in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• When trying to change the job information record of a contingent worker, error message pops up and indicates that the time information is required information:

1. Please assign a time recording variant so that all the Time Off fields have an entry.
2. Please assign a work schedule so that all the Time Off fields have an entry.

• Attempting to delete the record results in the following error as well: "Please assign a work schedule so that all the Time Off fields have an entry."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to the contingent worker and click on Job Information History
2. Click on Edit and amend any data
3. After clicking on Save, error messages pop up: 

Please assign a time recording variant so that all the Time Off fields have an entry.
Please assign a work schedule so that all the Time Off fields have an entry.

Employee Class is changed to 'Regular Employee' from 'Contractor Employee' via Position change or Position attribute change sync.

Contingent workers will be indicated with the value contractor always. If the employee class is changed to 'Regular Employee', then system will run the standard validations as per 'Regular Employee' based on the Job info -Time off field mandatory attributes.

Change the Employee Class field value back to 'Contract Employee' in UI, if system throws error then do a full purge job history with Employee class value as 'Contract'. Refer KBA 2317955 for Job History purge.

It is not recommended to change the Employee Class as Regular directly to change the user as Permanent/Regular Employees.

Refer our KBA 2473853 if you want to rehire Contingent worker as Permanent.
