2826350 - Conversion error occurred while checking the consistency of Production Model

Symptom

When checking the consistency of  Production Model DEF, Following errors are shown.  *DEF refers to Production Model id  *DEF1 refers to Production Bill of Material id.

Conversion Production segment DEF not consistent
-----> Conversion of quantity of BoO to quantity of variants not possible
-----> One or more line items from variant 1 of BoM DEF1 are not assigned to segment DEF
Production model DEF not consistent

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Planning and Production Master Data work center
  2. Select the Production Models view
  3. Select  Production Model DEF and choose Edit button
  4. Select the Check Consistency button
  5. Error messages appears

Cause

Unit of Measure(UoM) maintained in the Quantity field at the Bill of Operation details section in Production Model DEF is different from the Unit of Measure maintained at Production Bill of Material DEF1 Variant ID.

Resolution

You will have to maintain the same Unit of Measure(UoM) value in the Quantity field on the Bill of Operation Details section in Production Model DEF and at the Production Bill of Material DEF1 Variant ID Level.

  1. Go to the Planning and Production Master Data work center
  2. Select the Production Bill Of Material view
  3. Search for the relevant Bill of Material DEF1 and select it
  4. Choose Edit button
  5. Navigate to General and Variants tab
