2827049 - Log Entry 'Routings already exist that are assigned to the material' appears when changing Base Unit of Measure of a Product

• Unable to change base unit of measure for a Material in the App Change Material
• Log entry 'Routings already exist that are assigned to the material' appears despite no routing available for a material
• Unable to Change Material BUoM of a Material due to outstanding Routing /  Tasks lists. 

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
• Material Master

1. Open the App "Change Material"
2. Input material number and press enter
3. access the Basic Data view
4. change base unit of measure , for example EA to PC and press enter.
5. Message 'The base unit of measure cannot be changed; choose "Display errors"'
6. Press Enter
7. Press Button "Display errors"
8. Log Entry appears with  'Routings already exist that are assigned to the material' appears

The Material is still used in a Routing .

The Material was logically deleted from the Routing using the app "Change Routing" but the routing still exists in the database tables.

The CDS View I_MfgBillOfOperationsChgSt can be used to view the Routing

The Routing needs to be archived (A)  or Physically Deleted (B) before the base unit can be changed.

A) Archiving 

Please use the archiving object PP_PLAN to physical delete the routing linked to the Material

Use the app Delete Task Lists without Archiving

The App Manage Archiving Variants can be used for Archiving .

This App is available when either the Roles SAP_BR_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_BR_DATA_PRIVACY_SPECIALIST are assigned in the App "Maintain Business User"
