2827780 - Accept button is editable in the Lead overview screen even if Lead is Converted/Obsolete

Symptom

You handed over lead ABC (ABC represents the ID of the lead) from Marketing to Sales, rejected the lead and put it to obsolete or it is in status Converted, but when trying to accept it the following message shows:

'The action ACCEPT is not possible. Refresh the screen and try again. if the problem persists, report incident.'

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

Prerequisite: You created lead ABC in Marketing, handed it over to New Business (this is a work center of the sales department), rejected the lead and put the lead in status obsolete or the lead is status Converted

  1. Go to the New Business work center.
  2. Go to the Leads view.
  3. Select All Leads and search for lead ABC.
  4. You can see that lead ABC is in status obsolete.
  5. Click the Edit button.
  6. You can see that the following buttons are grayed out on the top of the screen: Accept, Reject, Send for Revision, Obsolete.
  7. Click the View All button.
  8. Click Accept button and select Accept.

The following message shows and there is no Reason for Status in the value help in the pop-up window:
'The action ACCEPT is not possible. Refresh the screen and try again. if the problem persists, report incident.'

Cause

This is the expected system behavior as Obsolete/Converted is the final status for a lead document and you will no longer be able to change the status of the lead documents.

Resolution

Create a new lead with the same data as in lead ABC to proceed further as the status obsolete means that the lead is obsolete and cannot be processed further from business perspective.

The possibility of clicking the Accept button in the OIF screen (after clicking the View All button) is due to a script issue and will be fixed in a future release.
