Symptom

One or more of DP_SOFTCANCEL exceptions below are visible in the corresponding trace files in the SAP System's work directory (dev_disp, dev_w*, etc.), or in the Job logs or system logs (transaction SM21):

The Syslog (transaction: SM21) may contain an entry similar to the ones below:

  • Delete sessions Tnn_Unnnn_Mn after error Execution was canceled (Softcancel)
  • Delete ABAP session Txxxxx (Info = Execution was canceled (Softcancel) [Warning/Session] Error: WARNING-SESSION-SOFT_CANCEL
