2827938 - ERROR: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it - CPI-DS

Symptom

  • Tasks fail with error:
    ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> to connect database <> failed with error: <[SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB DLL][HDBODBC] Communication link
    failure;-10709 Connection failed (RTE:[89006] System call 'connect' failed, rc=10061:No connection could be made because the
    target machine actively refused it (<host:port))>. Use the ODBCDriverSelector (Windows) or
    DSConnectionManager.sh (UNIX) utility in LINK_DIR/bin to configure the correct version of the driver. If the problem still
    exists after selecting the correct version of the driver, notify Customer Support.
  • HANA datastore connection test fails in CPI-DS with same error
  • HANA instance is hosted in SAP cloud
  • Connection to SAP Cloud Connector Administration UI fails with error:
    Invalid status of handshake response: 401 unauthorized
