Symptom

  • Opening a complex Crystal Report For Enterprise (C4E) report multiple times simultaneously results in the error message:

  • The viewer could not process an event. The data source is invalid: 'Failed to connect to the OLAP source.'. Please contact the maintainer of the data source to solve the problem. [JRC00004624]

  • The report opens successfully if it is opened in once in one tab (only one session for the report open at one time).

  • After the error occurs opening the report in one session at one time results in the error message.

  • The C4E report is based on between 100 to 150 queries
