2829360 - Availability of Workflows and Business Rules for Standard and Background Elements

Inquiry about whether Workflows and Business Rules are supported for Standard and Background Elements (EP) portlets. For example, whether a workflow can be triggered when an employee uploads certificates in a standard background element such as Formal Education.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

• Workflows & Business Rules cannot be triggered for Background and Standard Elements.
• They are currently supported for EC HRIS Elements and MDF objects and NOT supported for such EP Elements.
• There is already an enhancement idea created for this (see Request: 202921 - Background element should support Business rules & Workflows)
