Symptom
- The HANA system is a scale-out system with a standby host, e.g. 5+1 scenario.
- The plan is to do an operating system (O/S) upgrade.
- The goal is to minimize downtime, that is, first upgrade the O/S on the standby node, then failover one of the hosts to the upgraded standby, upgrade the new standby, and so on until all nodes are on the new O/S version. This means obviously HANA would be running with multiple nodes on different O/S versions for a short period of time.
