A server went down abnormally for example:
- shutdown with nowait
- kill spid from the OS
- ASE shutdown unexpectedly
When the server is restarted, it is taking a extraordinary amount of time to recover. The dbcc showrecovery shows a large number of transactions to be recovered. For example:
