 Renumbering of items in a Sales Quote is not possible, you get the message: "Action RENUMBER_ALL_ITEMS not possible; action is disabled".

SAP Cloud for Customer - Sales

1. Go to the Sales workcenter.
2. Go to the Sales quotes view.
3. Open Sales Quote XYZ (XYZ stands for a Sales Quote).
4. Go to the Products facet.
5. Click More > Renumber.
6. Change the number of an item.
7. Save.

The Sales Quote XYZ contains items that are read-only (for example if the items are replicated from an external system) and these cannot be renumbered.

For performance reasons, we don’t check each item’s number-editability in advance. Therefore, the button is displayed and the user can click it. Only then the editability of the number of each item is checked and, if at least one is read-only, the renumber is rejected.

This is the designed system behaviour.
