2830370 - How Deleting a Calibration Session Affects Ratings

Symptom

  • What will happen to ratings assigned during a calibration session if the session is deleted?
  • The rating shown for a user in a Calibration Session is different than what is shown in Employee Profile and the rating source is a deleted Calibration session.
  • Ratings in Employee Profile are no longer what were entered during the Calibration session.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Calibration

Resolution

  • Changes made to Live Profile data during the Calibration session will be deleted.
  • Changes to Performance Management or Compensation forms will not be affected
  • If a Calibration session is created using Live Profile data from a previous Calibration session, deleting the previous session will not change the ratings or rating source information for an active session.

Example:

    • Create a Calibration session which has Employee Profile as a data source (Cal Session B)
    • In the calibration session, one of the subjects (John Doe) has a Performance rating of "3 Meets Expectations" and the rating source information shows that the rating came from Cal Session A
    • You check John Doe's profile and it shows the Performance rating of "3 Meets Expectations"
    • You then delete Cal Session A
    • Again, check John Doe's profile and it now shows the Performance rating of "2 Needs Improvement"
    • In Cal Session B, John still shows a Performance rating of "3 Meets Expectations" and the rating source information shows the rating came from Cal Session A

In the example above, when Cal Session B was created, the ratings pulled in were from Cal Session A. When Cal Session A was deleted, the Live Profile information changed because the ratings from that session were deleted; however, since the rating information is captured when the session is created, Cal Session B will keep the rating information form Cal Session A

Note: Deleting a Calibration session will permanently delete the session. There is no way to restore a deleted session
