2830746 - Dump While Reverse Payment Allocation which is cleared with a VAT Return

Dump occurs while reversing a Payment Allocation which is related to a VAT-Return.

SAP Business By Design

1. Go to the Workcenter Payment Management.
2. Go to the View Payment Allocation.
3. Search for the Payment Allocation AAA (AAA=number of payment Allocation).

   You can see that the payment is allocated to a tax authority XXX (XXX represents the exact tax authority ID). This payment allocation A created a Tax payment B. Tax Payment B was matched with VAT Return AB.

4. Open this Payment Allocation and click on Reverse.
5. A Dump occurs.

Between the VAT-Return clearing and the Payment Allocation reversal the settings for the "Electronic Submission" for the Tax Arrangement of Tax Authority XXX have changed. Previously, Electronic Submission was not activated whereas now, at time of the reversal, "Electronic Submission" is active. This means, since the activation, each VAT-return is created with an XML attachment.
As there has been no attachment when the Payment Allocation A was posted, but as the attachment is required now, a backend error occurs when trying to reverse the Payment Allocation.

You can check this as follow:

1. Go to the Workcenter Tax Management.
2. Go to the View Tax Authorities.
3. Open the Tax Authority XXX.
4. View All.
5. Go to the tab Company Tax Arrangements.
6. Go to the sub-view Tax Return Arrangements.
7. Under Details you can see that the Box "Electronic Submission" is marked.
8. Go to the tab Changes and you can see that it is valid from month for example for month June .
9. During the reversal of the Payment Allocation the system tried to retrieve the attachment of the VAT-Return AB. Because this is not found, the system dumps.

1. Create a pdf file of the VAT-Return AB.
2. Attach it to the VAT-Return AB in the tab Attachments.
3. Save it.
4. Afterwards it will be possible to reverse the Payment Allocation A.
