2830916 - Intelligent Services Center - How to enable Notifications for specific Events

Symptom

  • How to add both Web and/or Email Notifications to specific Intelligent Services Events within the Intelligent Services Center?
  • Bell / Web notifications are not working;
  • Only Manager and HR Manager are receiving Bell / Web notification;

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • Intelligent Services Center 

Resolution

  • How to add both Web and/or e-mail Notifications to specific Intelligent Services Events within the Intelligent Services Center?

In order to add Notifications (either Web or e-mail) to Events within Intelligent Services Center:

  1. Navigate to Intelligent Services Center
  2. Select any standard delivered Event, for example 'Employee Hire':

  1. Under the Flow section, the system will display different activities (based on SF Product area, i.e. Employee Central, Goals Management, Onboarding, etc) that are enabled when this Event is published - The activity will be flagged as either a Web Notification or e-mail Notification:

  1. Only the pre-existent activities on each Event can be activated/deactivated. If included in the Event, that type of Notification will be sent by the system - Those activities highlighted in blue are already added to the specific Event:

Please Note:

  • The notification received by the end user will be received in their selected locale as we have multi-language support for these notifications.
  • Each Event will have a predefined list of Activities, there are no options to create new notifications outside of what is available from the activity menu
  • Some Notifications can be toggled on or off as shown for Goal Management below:

Note: 

  • Use the Notification tab to manage all the notifications that are sent when a specified event is raised.
  • A notification is a call to action for subscribers. There is a brief description of each notification and notification type.
  • Notifications can be turned on or off using the on/off slider button.
  • The on/off slider button may not be available for all notifications such as: Recruiting and Onboarding 1.0 , Employee central

     

  • Bell / Web notifications are not working:

Please, add a save the rule, which triggers the event, under:

  1. Admin Center > Configure Object Definition;
  2. Object Definition > Select the event

      

  • Only Manager and HR Manager are receiving Bell / Web notification;

This is expected behavior since only Manager and HR Manager will see the Bell Notification:
