Symptom
- ASE is installed successfully and is up and running
- An error message is returned when
- trying to connect to ASE or
- when starting Backup Server :
Your Sybase home directory is /sybase/SID. Check the environment variable SYBASE if it is not the one you want!
Using locale name "POSIX" defined in environment variable LANG
Locale name "POSIX" doesn't exist in your /sybase/SID/locales/locales.dat file - Other messages may precede or follow, most commonly:
