2832309 - Time Account Type is Visible With or Without Calendar Year

You notice that the same Time Account Type is visible in a different way, although the Code is the same. For some of the employees it is shown with added calendar year, for others not. You are wondering about the reason for the issue.

1. Go to the Time Administration work center
2. Select Employees view
3. Select and edit an employee
4. Select Time Account Balances
5. You find e.g. a time account with description: 'Vacation'
6. Select again Employees view
7. Select and edit another employee
8. Select Time Account Balances
9. You find e.g. a time account with description: 'Vacation XXXX' (where XXXX represents the calendar year)

The display of the Time Account Type depends on the start of the time account for the employee. The system checks if the number of days between the Time Accounts Bookable From and To dates is greater than 6 months. In this case the time account is considered as an annual account and the year is added to the description text.

• Example 1: An employee is hired in April. The Time Accounts Bookable From date is in April and the Time Accounts Bookable To date is in December. A vacation account is visible as 'Vacation XXXX'.
• Example 2: An employee is hired in July. The Time Accounts Bookable From date is in July and the Time Accounts Bookable To date is in December. A vacation account is visible as 'Vacation'.

Note: To calculate the year, the system also performs a check to see if the month of the Time Accounts Bookable From Date is greater than October.
