2832323 - You get the message "Attribute Update Item can be added only once" in a survey

Symptom

You are designing a survey and try to add two Items of type Attribute. The system allows you to do so but when you click save you get the message  "Attribute Update Item can be added only once".

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Surveys work center.
  2. Go to the Surveys view.
  3. Click New.
  4. Fill in the mandatory fields and click Save.
  5. Go to the Design facet.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Select Question Type: Attribute, add a Question and an Answer Option.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Repeat step 6, 7 and 8 again. You are trying to add and save a second Item with Question Type attribute.
    RESULT: You get the message "Attribute Update Item can be added only once".

Cause

As you can read in the Admin Guide, you can only add one question with type Attribute.

Resolution

Please add only one question of type Attribute. This is the designed system behaviour.
