2832933 - Employee Delta Export returning 'Invalid procedure call or argument' error message

Symptom

Starting 20th August, you are noticing below error message when you try to execute the Employee Delta Export report.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Cause

Microsoft released an update for excel on 13th of August which caused this error. The documentation of this bug can be found at below url-

Resolution

Until Microsoft comes up with a solution for this bug, we have identified below workaround that can be used to avoid any Business Impact caused due to this error.

Please follow below steps to resolve the error.

Step 1: In your Single sheet/Multi-sheet workbook, navigate to Developer > Visual Basic.

Step 2: Look for modText under CompEmpDeltaAddIn > Modules > modText file as per below screenshot and add the two lines highlighted in the screenshot.

Note: This workaround will be available by default for the Employee Delta Export version 1908.

So if you are making these changes, no need to revert even after the Microsoft team comes up with a fix on their end.
