The candidate can still be moved to other statuses even though the requisition is now closed.

SAP Successfactors Recruiting Management

1. Apply to job requisition > Move the candidate to hired

2. Requisition will now be closed > Candidates can still be moved in the candidate pipeline

The applicant status is not dependent in the requisition status so it is expected that you can still move the candidate in the applicant status pipeline even though the requisition is closed.
