2833562 - CtLibrary Error: 44, Severity: 0, Origin: 1, Layer: 4 - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • IQ 16.1 SP03 is configured to connect to other IQ 16.0 servers to load data during a current database/server migration effort.
  • In two separate instances, after the IQ 16.1 servers were rebooted, the data migration events no longer function, returning the following error in the server log:

    CtLibrary Error: 44, Severity: 0, Origin: 1, Layer: 4
    Error Message: ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error: The attempt to connect to the server failed.
    OS Error: 0, OS Message: ---.-- (hqmlib/hqm_con.cxx 199)
     
  • No password or permissions between the two servers have changed from the moment it was working successfully until the server was rebooted.
