2834378 - Duration Display According to Calendar Days Using Unit Hours.

Symptom

Time Type field "Duration Display According to" is set to Calendar Day's, and Unit is equal to Hours.

However, the calculation of 'Requesting' field on Absence Request UI still shows calculation based on Work Schedule.

Environment

Employee Central, Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Request time off for Fri 6th, Sat 7th and Sun 8th Sep.
  2. Work Schedule is set to:  8 Hours Mon, 8 Hours Tue, 8 Hours Wed, 8 Hours Thu, 8 Hours Fri, 0 Hours Sat, 0 Hours Sun.
  3. If you are using Duration display according to: Calendar Days and Unit: Days --> Requesting field will show 3 Days.
  4. If you are using Duration display according to: Calendar Days and Unit: Hours --> Requesting field will show 8 Hours.

Resolution

This is expected behaviour.  Using Calendar Days cannot be counted as Hours and therefore there should not be a number of hours to be displayed per non-working day.
