2834571 - Error - Resource xxxxx is not active in MMM YYYY

• While trying to change the duration of the work package in the 'Plan Customer Project' app, the following error occurs "Resource xxxxxx is not active in MMM YYYY".
• While adding a resource to a work package in the 'Plan Customer Project' app, the following error occurs "Resource xxxxx is not active in MMM YYYY ".

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

1. Go to Plan customer projects app.
2. Select a project and click edit.
3. Go to Work packages tab.
4. Change the duration of a Work package.
5. Click Retain Total Efforts or add the resource to the role in work package.
6. Click Save.

• The Retain Total Efforts functionality is used to redistributes the total planned effort of the roles or resources, equally for the entire duration of the work package.Since the work package starts before the employment of the employee, some hours will fall outside of the employment.

• The planned effort of the roles or resources are distributed equally for the entire duration of the work package. Since the work package starts before the employment of the employee, some hours will fall outside of the employment.

1. The Retain Total Efforts for Common Periods functionality should be used to change the dates of the work package.
2. The efforts should be distributed only from the start of the employment of the resource using the edit button next to efforts.
