2835046 - Signal 11 in mda_calc_proc_hdr_mem_KB() while querying monCachedProcedures - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE errorlog reported an 'Infected with signal 11' error in the module mda_calc_proc_hdr_mem_KB() followed by a stack trace:

Current process (0x......) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0000000100f68564 (mda_calc_proc_hdr_mem_KB+0x...), siginfo (code, address) = (50, 0x.......)

  • The stack trace includes functions:

mda_populate_monCachedProcedures
mda_exec

  Note: A more complete stack trace is available under Attachments.

  • The failed process was running a query on the monCachedProcedures table.
  • ASE server crashed.
