Symptom

  • The following is seen in SAP when running a process chain:
    Error while accessing repository: <Repo name>: ORA-16000: database or pluggable database open for read only access
  • Changed the database the repository is on from a primary to a standby 
  • Jobs run directly from Designer work as expected
  • Oracle is configured for failover with primary and standby servers
