2836702 - Retrieving rows from a proxy table with a binary column on IQ may cause SIGSEGV - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • There is a table with a large binary column on IQ, and ASE has a proxy table to the table on IQ.
  • When trying to retrieve rows from the proxy table on ASE, ASE runs into a SIGSEGV with a stack trace and the session is terminated.
  • Stack trace is usually incomplete.
