2836887 - Request for Quotation in Error When Sent to Bidders

Symptom

When sending a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to bidders, the system generates a dump error message.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sourcing and Contracting work center.
  2. Select RFQs and Quotes view. 
  3. Use the Filter "All RFQs".
  4. Search for ABC (ABC is the RFQ ID).
  5. Open it.
  6. Click on View All button. 
  7. Click "Send to Bidders".

The system generates a dump error message.

Cause

The communication arrangement is not maintained for the Supplier.

Resolution

  1. Go to Supplier Base work center.
  2. Select the Suppliers view.
  3. In the drop-down, select All Suppliers.
  4. Search for XYZ (XYZ is the Supplier ID used in RFQ ABC). 
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Navigate to Addresses tab.
  7. Navigate to Collaboration subtab.
  8. Select Request for Quotation.
  9. Click Maintain XML Settings.
  10. Maintain all the necessary details.
  11. Activate.
