2837206 - Cloud Connector suddenly stops working and the error "Invalid status of handshake response: 401 Unauthorized" is thrown

Symptom

  • Suddenly, the Cloud Connector cannot establish a connection to one of the subaccounts of SAP BTP. There have been no configuration changes or system updates.
  • In the scc_core.trc (SCC version >=2.17) or the ljs_trace.log (SCC version <2.17) the following can be seen:



       ERROR#com.sap.core.connectivity.tunnel.client.notification.NotificationClient#notification-client-nn-n# #Unable to handshake with notification server connectivitynotification.<region>.hana.ondemand.com/<IP address>:<port>   
       com.sap.core.connectivity.tunnel.core.handshake.TunnelHandshakeException: Invalid status of handshake response: 401 Unauthorized
