Symptom

Two Migration Objects can be found for Info Records:

  1. Purchasing info record with conditions
  2. Purchasing info record- extend existing record

The difference between both of them is wanted to be known.

 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

With data migration, only initial data can be created. It is not possible to update or modify data.

The different purposes of the two Migration Objects for Info records are as follows:

  1. Purchasing info record with conditions: New Info records are created in the system. 
  2. Purchasing info record- extend existing record: An already existing record is extended with new organizational levels. For example, if an info record has been migrated for purchasing org 1010, a new plant or a new purchasing org can be migrated for this existing record. Existing records can only be extended, not updated or modified.
