2838115 - Can not connect to a DB2 database from PD Web - SAP PD

Symptom

  • Clicking Log On to log in to the Repository does nothing.
  • No login error message is displayed.
  • The Repository has been successfully created from PD Desktop.
  • nodeserver log reports:

HTTP Status 404 - Not Found
Type Status Report
Message /powerdesigner-web/login
Description The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that one exists.

  • Tomcat manager reports:

localhost:3040/manager: FAIL - Application at context path [/powerdesigner-web] could not be started

  • Files db2jcc.jar and db2jcc_license_cu.jar can be found in \Tomcat\webapps\powerdesigner-web\WEB-INF\lib.
  • localhost log file reports a severe error:

SEVERE [localhost-startStop-1] org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.listenerStart Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class [com.sap.powerdesigner.web.StartupListener]
java.lang.AbstractMethodError: Class "com.ibm.db2.jcc.t4.b" does not implement the requested method "isValid(I)Z" inherited from interface "java.sql.Connection"
