2838219 - Costs Show as Zero in Query Browser app

You are following the best practice 2QW Analytics for Production Unit - Plan/Actual Production Cost and notice that costs show as zero in the reports.

The customization of the Financial Statement Versions (FSV) hierarchy is either incomplete or incorrect, then you are facing costs as zero.

Apps such as Plan/Actual Production Cost will only show costs posted to G/L Accounts which are mapped to the cost relevant items of a Financial Statement Version (FSV) configured for it. Usage of any of the mapped GL Accounts in here will reflect the costs (actual/planned) posted in the app.

Please review the attached document "Financial Statement Version.docx" which details how to maintain the G/L account so it will show in the report (this document uses Financial Statement Version YPS2 for demonstration purposes).Note: As of S/4HANA Cloud 1905 release onwards, the controlling area’s leading FSV is used (which is mostly YPS2).

Once the FSV has been correctly configured, app F1478 "Replicate Runtime Hierarchy" needs to be run to get that set up correctly populated in your system.
