2838228 - Error 8006 with a stack trace and Backup Server error 3.15.2.1 when DUMP DATABASE is run - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When DUMP DATABASE is run on an IMRS (In-Memory Row Storage) enabled database
  • ASE reports Error 8006 followed by a stack trace:

Error: 8006, Severity: 20, State: 1
ASE error detected by Backup Server. Refer to the preceding Backup Server message.

  • The stack trace includes functions:

as_interpret_rpc_return
as_exec_rpc
dmpld_send_runlist
dmp_xmit_runlist
dmp_send_dpm
dpdb__send_updates
dpdb_main

  Note: A complete stack trace is available under Attachments.

  • Backup Server reports the following error:

Backup Server: 3.15.2.1: The disk piece for page 545311 does not belong to phase 2.
