2838942 - Adapt Button in Design Data Sources is Grayed Out

Symptom

You would like to adapt a data source, however the Adapt button is grayed out.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the work center Business Analytics.
  2. Select the view Design Data Sources.
  3. Search for your data source.
  4. The Adapt button is grayed out.

Cause

The data source is a virtual data source. This data source type currently cannot be adapted.

Resolution

This is currently a technical restriction with regard to virtual data sources and the Adapt feature. No changes are planned as of yet.
