2839136 - Unable to Finish Change Project Due to Message: Not Possible to Finalize Scope Changes; Some Decisions would Cause Inconsistencies in Fine-Tuning Settings

You are unable to finish a change project. You see the following system message:

"Finish Project: It is not possible to finalize your scope changes; some of your decisions would cause inconsistencies in your fine-tuning settings. Before continuing with your project, you must either reverse the decisions causing inconsistencies and then click Finish again or click Cancel to cancel your changes entirely."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Click on Implementation Projects view.
3. Click on New.
4. Click on Select Scenario.
5. Add country.
6. Click on the arrow.
7. Click on OK.
8. Click on Next until step 4.
9. Review Status: You have not reviewed all of the decision-relevant questions for your solution scope. For the questions not reviewed, would you like to accept the answers preselected by SAP based on best practices for your country and type of business?
10. Click on Accept preselected Answers.
11. Enter Title.
12. Click on Finish.
13. Finish Project: It is not possible to finalize your scope changes; some of your decisions would cause inconsistencies in your fine-tuning settings. Before continuing with your project, you must either reverse the decisions causing inconsistencies and then click Finish again or click Cancel to cancel your changes entirely.

There could be some missing values in your fine-tuning settings that causes the inconsistences and that are required for your generic country version to function correctly.

To complete scoping, some records that were previously deleted need to be restored. These deleted records are currently causing foreign key errors, which prevent the change project from being finished.

One possible cause of this issue is missing valuation data. Restoring the fixed asset valuation data may resolve the issue.

The following steps can be followed to restore the valuation data:

1. Navigate to Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the Overview view.
3. Open Activity List.
4. Search for Activity: Fixed Assets Valuation View.
5. Select the activity and choose Change Immediately.
6. Select Restore Defaults.
7. Select Save option.
