2839274 - Manage Pending Hires - Not able to view any employee data when performing an Internal Hire - Employee Central

Symptom

  • Unable to see some or all employee central data when trying to perform a transfer/internal hire.
  • The portlets that is displayed in the screen are not respecting the same permissions that user has on the UI.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Pending Hires
  2. Click to Internal Hire a candidate
  3. HRIS portlets (Employment Details, Job Information, Job Relationships, Compensation Information) have no values.

Cause

The issue is caused by missing permission. The user accessing the data need to have the following permissions on the Employee Central as the Internal Hire action has same logic as transfer via Take Action, then user need all permission to view and edit.

  • Employee Data -> Employment Details
  • Employee Central Effective Dated Entities -> Job Information
  • Employee Central Effective Dated Entities -> Job Relationships
  • Employee Central Effective Dated Entities -> Compensation Information

Resolution

  1. Go to Manage Permission Roles
  2. Select the Permission Role for the user
  3. Grant access to required Employee Central Effective Dated Entities to View Current, Edit/Insert and Take Action (Job Information Actions, Compensation Actions, Job Relationships Actions).
    • Job Information
    • Job Relationships
    • Compensation Information
  4. Grant access to Employee Data -> Employment Details to View and Edit.

Note: If any of the permissions is missing, all the HRIS portlets will not be displayed.
