2839850 - Unable to logon through x.509 rule based mapping using CERTRULE

Symptom

  • CERTRULE configured logon does not work despite correct setup.
  • After correctly creating the desired rules under transaction code CERTRULE, setting profile parameter "login/certificate_mapping_rulebased" to 1 and enabling its priority in the relevant node through transaction code SICF, attempting to logon is not correctly making use of the desired x509 filter-based authentication, as evidenced in transaction code SM05.
  • ICM traces indicate correct certificate reception and the connection is working as intended. Work Process traces show nothing out of the ordinary either.
