2840324 - Picklist label shows up as Obsoleted in UI

You have noticed that for some employees, fields that are picklist are displaying with the value Obsoleted.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) - All Versions

1. Go to any Employee's profile;
2. Scroll to the Employment Info session;
3. Access the Job History;
4. See that one or more picklist values appear as Obsoleted

Expected Behavior

Once you set a picklist as obsoleted, this is not removed from the employees who already use it, however, the system will use the "(Obsoleted)" identification to help you identify whether that picklist value was made obsolete.
