Symptom

  • On a secondary (writer) node when trying to alter the IQ_SYSTEM_MSG file:

alter dbspace IQ_SYSTEM_MSG alter file IQ_SYSTEM_MSG rename path '/full/path/myiq_W.iqmsg'
Could not execute statement.
  Logical file  'IQ_SYSTEM_MSG' is not part of dbspace 'IQ_SYSTEM_MSG'
  SQLCODE=-1249, ODBC 3 State="HY000"
  Line 1, column 1
  alter dbspace IQ_SYSTEM_MSG alter file IQ_SYSTEM_MSG rename path '/full/path/myiq_W.iqmsg'

  • This command works fine when running on the Coordinator node and on a simplex system.
