2843410 - Disable e-mail notifications from the Embedded Statistics Server for HANA alerts

Symptom

Information is required to know how to prevent the embedded statistics server on HANA from gathering too many HANA alerts for e-mail processing to a recipient list.

  • Minicheck results shows that there are many alerts pending in table _SYS_STATISTICS.STATISTICS_EMAIL_PROCESSING with check ID  :

   M0730 - Pending e-mails older than 3 days

  • This can be confirmed via commands :

        select count(*) from _SYS_STATISTICS.STATISTICS_EMAIL_PROCESSING where state='New'

        or

        SQL: "HANA_StatisticsServer_MailProcessing" as per 1969700 - SQL Statement Collection for SAP HANA
