2844091 - Selected attachment type is not allowed to be uploaded

Symptom

By implementing note 2580634 or upgrading to GRC 10.1 SP20 or above, user can maintan extensions that are allowed to be upload to GRC system via attachments.

Such extensions are maintained on customizing: Governance, Risk and Compliance > Common Component Settings > Attachments and Links > Maintain allowed document upload extensions and mime types. Or, on view GRFNVDOCUMENTWT in case that GRC version is below 10.1 SP20.

The above configuration was performed however user is receiving errors like "Selected attachment type is not allowed to be uploaded" while attempting to attach documents. This is happening even to extensions maintained on the customizing.
