2844788 - Sales Order does not consider dependent demand for ATP Calculation

You see ATP in Sales Order showing in Green although there is a dependent demand for product DEF *DEF refers to Product Id

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Sales Order Work Center
2. Navigate to Sales Order View
3. Search for DEF
4. Navigate to Items tab

 You observe ATP showing green although there is  insufficient stock

1. Go to Supply Planning Work Center
2. Navigate to Products View
3. Search for Product Planning Details
4. Navigate to Supply and Demand Tab

You observe Available Stock is 1 ea, However there is a dependent demand of -1 ea.

Dependent demand (proposal) and dependent demand (request) are not considered during ATP calculation since these demands have zero confirmed quantities in Live Cache. When the confirmed quantity is zero, those demands will not be considered for ATP.

ATP provides full confirmation by not considering the dependent demands available in Product Planning Details for product.
