Symptom

  • Does ASE have a feature to set the client session time zone?
  • Some database management systems allow to change the timezone in the client session
    Example from third-party DBMS:

    1. SELECT now();

    2019-09-27 15:50:16

    2. SET time_zone = 'America/Chicago';

    3. SELECT now();

    2019-09-27 08:50:19 -- changed to local timezone
