What is the difference between Start Course button and Assign to me button?

2. Some courses have "Start Course" button while some display "Assign to me"

As per Engineering Team, the action button displayed is based on the type of course and status of the course. "Assign to me" will assign the item to learning plan. "Start Course" will assign the item to the learning plan and launch it as well.

"Start Course" is displayed as a primary action so that the user does not have to take multiple steps to start the course.

"Assign to me" on the other hand works with ILT (Instructor-led) courses with classes.
