2845748 - ERROR: There are already time accounts for time account type [???], so you can't change the account creation settings

You are trying to update one Time Account Type and when trying to save it you are getting the below error message:

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) - All Versions

1. Go to Manage Time Off Structures;
2. Select one Time Account Type;
3. Make any change and try to Save it;
4. Get the Error message as described in the Symptom;

Expected behavior

It is not possible to change any setting in the time account type that changes the validity to which new time accounts will be created.

This restriction is standard and exists because if you change settings such as Account Creation Start Date or any other field that affects the validity of time accounts, it will break all the already existing time accounts.
