Symptom
You created a Depreciation Run ID ABC (ABC represents the depreciation run ID). During the run a system failure/ dump occurred after which the status of the run remained Scheduled.
You were able to successfully complete a new depreciation run later for the same period and company.
You want to delete the Depreciation run ID ABC with status as "Scheduled".
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Fixed Assets work center.
- Go to the Depreciation subview in the Periodic Tasks view.
- Search for Run ID ABC and select it.
The status is Scheduled.
The Run is for Company XYZ (XYZ is the company ID).
- Click View Jobs.
The status is Completed.
Next Start Date/Time is DD.MM.YYYY HH:MM.
- Under Change History: Planned Start Date/Time is DD.MM.YYYY HH:MM.
There is no option to delete the run.
- Go to the Application and User Management work center.
- Go to the Background Jobs subview.
- Under All Scheduled Jobs, search for Run ID ABC.
The status is Completed.
Resolution
If the run is not planned as recurring, you can ignore the same. It will have no effect on depreciation.
Jobs which ended abruptly due to system errors are usually cleared by automatic checks performed by the system weekly or biweekly.
