Symptom

  • While recovering tempdb or a user defined tempdb
  • ASE crashes with an "infected with signal 11" error in the module crdb__phys:

    Current process (0x30002) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
    Address 0x0x0000000002a9de1e (crdb__phys+0x4de), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000078)
  • The error comes with a stack trace which contains the following functions:

    crdb__phys
    crdb_tempdb
    recover_tempdb
    rec__user_tempdb
