Symptom
When terminating a user, it is noted that there are job relationships in the Transfer Job Relationships section that are inactive in the system.
Same behavior is noted when searching for job relationships in Add New Employee Wizard.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Position Management
- Job Relationships
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Employee Profile
- Click Take Action -> Terminate
- Select the Termination Date
Result: Notice the section for Transfer Job Relationships, but some or all of the job relationships that appears are currently inactive.
- Go to Add New Employee
- On Job Relationships sesssion
Result: Notice that search brings active and inactive users.
Cause
This is currently an expected behavior since Centralized Services still do not support Termination/Hire UI's.
While editing the information using the pencil icon, it is also possible to select inactive employees, but while editing the History or importing data through Import Employee Data, it is not possible to add inactive employees as job relationships, since Centralized Services are enabled for these actions.
Resolution
During the termination of an user with direct reports in Job Relationships, check if you're not transferring them to an inactive user.
