2846648 - Transfer of Direct Reports using Transition Period

Using the Position Management Transition Period feature, the incumbent (user A) of a higher level position is terminated. A replacement is hired (user b) using the Transition Period Feature. The position then has two incumbents during this time.
Once the original incumbent's (user A) termination date is reached the direct reports are not transferred to the new incumbent (user B), but instead are transferred based on the selection made during the original incumbents (users A) termination.

Employee Central - Position Management

1. In a Transition Period enabled instance. Terminate a manager (user A) who has direct reports based on the Position Hierarchy. During the termination select who the direct reports will be transferred too.
2. Within the transition period timeframe higher a replacement (user B) to the position of user A.
3. This positon is no overstaffed by 1.
4. When user A's termination date is reached the direct reports are not transferred to user B who is now the only incumbent of their higher-level position.
   The direct reports are transferred to the user selected on the Termination screen of user A, selected in step 1.

This is expected behaviour.

• The Transition Period only allows for a successor is appointed to that position before the incumbent leaves it. This allows for the position is overstaffed for that time frame ONLY.
• This feature has no impact of the transfer of direct reports.
• The direct reports will be transferred based on the selection entered on the Termination UI.
