2846678 - No Error is Thrown When Saving the Demand Plan With Incorrect UoM

You are using the product XXX as Input Product for a produced product. You created the Demand Plan YYY with the Multi Level Planning Enabled set and the Demand Plan UoM ZZZ. You do not have a quantity conversion maintained for product XXX with UoM ZZZ, so you expect an error message when saving the Demand Plan. However the Demand Plan was saved successfully.

XXX = Product ID

ZZZ = Unit of Measure

YYY = Demand Plan ID

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Demand Planning work center.
2. Select Demand Plans view.
3. Find the Demand Plan YYY.
4. Select the Demand Plan YYY.
5. Select Edit.
6. Notice that the Demand Plan UoM used here is ZZZ. 

Demand Plan YYY contains product XXX. No error is expected when saving the Demand Plan even if quantity conversion is not maintained. However when you run planning for the product, system may throw required error message.

As the system will thrown the required error when running planning, the system is working as expected in this case.
